Research articles
We welcome short articles from professional and amateur archaeologists, commercial organisations and local societies, academics, research students local historians etc. Normally, an abstract or outline of a proposed article is sent to the Editor responsible for content, Jenny Hall, in the first instance. The proposals are ranked in priority order depending on factors such as timeliness, significance, novelty and relationship to other articles in the pipeline. To submit an article, contact us.
Once accepted for publication, an article can take around 18 months or more to reach publication stage. Contributors are expected to comply with the process, style guide and standards set out in the Notes for Contributors document, available here.
Contributors will be expected to source necessary images, illustrations and other figures; to ensure copyright permission is obtained for publication; and to complete the copyright form.

Page rates
